10U McSweeney Coaches

Cindy McSweeney
Head Coach
Cindy McSweeney is the head coach for our 10U Rage softball team. Softball has been a significant part of Cindy’s life since she was four years old, inspired by her sister’s passion for the game, which taught her invaluable lessons in leadership, resilience, and teamwork.
Cindy played softball at Dowling College and served as an assistant coach for Islip Varsity softball. Cindy holds a coaching degree from Stony Brook University. She is a mother of three wonderful children who have all played baseball and softball, with her oldest currently competing at Mercy University. Her late brother, Dennis McSweeney, who passed away in September 2024, was the Varsity Softball coach for Islip for several years, and she aspires to continue emulating his coaching style.
As a coach, Cindy’s goal is to pass on the same passion for the game, helping players develop strong fundamentals and a love for softball. Her approach combines technical training with mindset coaching, ensuring that athletes are prepared both mentally and physically. She is committed to fostering a strong team dynamic and assisting each player in achieving their personal and team goals.
